The Art of Improvisation kommt am 19. und 20. November 2021 mit großem internationalen Aufgebot und dem Young European Improvisers Festival zurück in den Resonanzraum. Gemeinsam mit unserem Publikum und 26 großartigen jungen Musiker*innen aus 14 Ländern wollen wir ein 2-tägiges Fest der Improvisation feiern.

Das diesjährige Programm verzichtet auf den gewohnten Dialog der Generationen und bringt diesmal alle jungen Musiker*innen, die in den vergangenen Jahren zu Gast bei The Art of Improvisation waren und entscheidend zum Erfolg unserer Konzertreihe beigetragen haben, zu einem Fest der Improvisation, Freundschaft und Solidarität wieder zusammen. Wir wollen damit ein Zeichen setzen, dass allen vergangenen und aktuellen Widrigkeiten zum Trotz, die kreative Gemeinschaft eine notwendige Voraussetzung nicht nur unserer Kunstform, sondern letztlich auch aller menschlichen Kultur ist.

Das Publikum erwartet dabei nicht nur ein Fest der Wiederbegegnung und die kreative Rückeroberung der Bühne nach den Lockdowns, sondern auch ein schillerndes und spannendes Musikprogramm in verschiedenen Besetzungen und zwischen allen Stilen, Richtungen und Spielformen zeitgenössischer Improvisationsmusik.

The Art of Improvisation returns to the Resonanzraum on November 19 and 20, 2021 with a large international line-up and the Young European Improvisers Festival. Together with our audience and 26 great young musicians* from 14 countries we want to celebrate a 2-day festival of improvisation.

This year’s program foregoes the usual dialogue between generations and brings together all the young musicians who have been guests of The Art of Improvisation in past years and who have made a decisive contribution to the success of our concert series for a celebration of improvisation, friendship and solidarity. We want to send a signal that despite all past and present adversities, creative community is a necessary condition not only of our art form, but ultimately of all human culture.

The audience can expect not only a celebration of reunion and the creative recapture of the stage after the lockdowns, but also a dazzling and exciting musical program in various lineups and between all styles, directions and forms of play of contemporary improvisational music.
